When To Potty Train
when to potty train depends entirely on two different factors. There is no set age on when to potty train a child, whether it’s a boy or girl.
First of all, before you start thinking about when to potty train your child, you need to ask yourself the following two questions:
Is my child ready for all this?
To know exactly when it’s the right time for when to potty train your child, you need to look out for certain signs that your child may be giving you.
Watch out for his or her attitude towards other members of the family using the bathroom.
Some toddlers may also show frustration when they are about to pee or poop in their nappy.
Others may simply scream right after they pee or poop in their nappy, with the intention of getting you to change the dirty diaper immediately.
There are also those kids who are curious already about how it would feel for them to do like grown ups do and swap nappies with a potty or toilet. Some toddlers show their curiosity by taking their toys in turns to try out sitting on the potty.
There are many more signs you should look for that will be able to give you a clue when to potty train your child, since all signs will give you a clear picture on how eager your child is to try out potty training.
Another question you should ask yourself would be:
Am I ready to potty train my child?
And that my friend is another million dollar question. See, it won’t just matter if your child is ready for all this, as potty training your child also depends on how much you are ready to go through this stage yourself.
If you are already worried about your child peeing on your brand new sofa, or getting the floor wet, or soiling his or her clothes, then you are definitely NOT ready to start potty training your child!
When you are potty training your child, it is extremely important to keep yourself calm at all times. Showing your child that you’re frustrated just as much as he or she is will only make it worse!
Both these factors go hand in hand, and you should both be ready in order to go through a stress free potty training phase.
“Only you and your child will be determining the right time for when to potty train”
Once you know you are both ready for this adventure, make sure you know exactly what to do to make this potty training phase a true success. Potty Training Tots™ can help by showing you what you need to look for exactly on when to potty train and how to do it right in the least time possible.
